I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Liz Thomas and I am excited to be teaching the Kindergarten/First grade class again this year. I am extremely excited to start this journey with you and your child and I have so many exciting ideas for the upcoming year.

I am originally from Colorado and I moved to Flagstaff for college where I graduated in December 2017 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have worked in many different classrooms ranging from Kindergarten to Fifth grade to a cross-categorical self-contained classroom for my student teaching. After experiencing so much, I have really fallen in love with the K-3rd grade classrooms!

I love going on vacation anywhere with a beach, the ocean, and the warm sun. I also really love winter sports and love to go skiing and snowboarding when we have a good season here in Flagstaff, so I’m always praying for snow to come in the winter! I love plants, flowers, and a good book. A few dreams I have are to visit Ireland, learn Spanish, and learn more sign language.

I feel that a strong parent-teacher relationship is vital and if you have any questions that come up please feel free to email me any time at

A few fun facts about me are that my favorite color is dusty pink, I love cold brew coffee, my favorite food is Mexican food, my favorite candy is sour gummy worms, I am one of the few people on this earth that don’t care too much for chocolate and I am going to be a Mrs. in October!

I am looking forward to having a wonderful school year with you and your child and I can’t wait to meet you all!

Ms. Liz
