February 25, 2021

Board members Present:  Bryan Cooperrider, Sandra Dihlmann, Renee Fauset, Kimberly Khatibi, Katherine (Kathy) Lampros, Mark Neumayr

Board Members Absent: Jason Aulwes

Non-Board Members Present:  Vanessa Fitz-Kesler, Gina Andress, and Audra Morales

1.	Call to Order/Welcome by Renee Fauset: The meeting was called to order at 4:32 pm by Renee Fauset.
2.	Adoption of Agenda: Kim Khatibi made a motion to adopt the February 25th agenda. Sandra Dihlmann seconded the motion.  The motion was approved by all Board members.
3.	Call to the Public by Renee Fauset: Vanessa Fitz-Kesler read a letter written by Mountain School parent, Stephanie DeGomez, concerning the status of the school reopening. No additional public comments were made.
4.	Disclosure of Conflicts by Sandra Dihlmann:  No additional disclosures, or updates, of conflicts to report.
5.	Action Item: Approval of February 9, 2021 School Board Meeting Minutes by Renee Fauset: Kim Khatibi made a motion to adopt the February 9 Mountain School Board Minutes. Mark Neumayr seconded the motion.  The motion was approved by all Board members.
6.	Action Item: School Reopening in a Hybrid Format by Vanessa Fitz Kesler: Vanessa shared the Administration’s recommendation to reopen Mountain School in a hybrid mode after Spring Break, 2021. Teachers will be vaccinated against Covid-19 and feel confident that the school can open safely through synchronous Zoom learning and in-person. All employees, students, and visitors will practice Covid mitigation strategies by wearing masks, physical distancing, handwashing and sanitizing, and continued cleaning and disinfecting of the building.
	Mark Neumayr made a motion that Mountain School open for in-person learning in a hybrid format on March 22, in accordance with the newest CDC guidelines released on February 17, 2021.  Bryan Cooperrider seconded the motion. The motion was approved by all Board members.

8.	Next Board Meeting: The next Mountain School Board Meeting will be March 30, 2021, at 3:30.
10.	Adjourn: The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 pm by Renee Fauset.
