Board Members Present:  Jason Aulwes, Bryan Cooperrider, Renee Fauset, Katherine (Kathy) Lampros, Mark Neumayr, and Sandra Dihlmann

Board Members Absent:  N/A

Non-Board Members Present: Gina Andress, Vanessa Fitz-Kesler

1. Call to Order/Welcome by Renee Fauset: The meeting was called to order at 1:18 p.m.
   
   
2. Adoption of Agenda by Renee Fauset: Mark Neumayr made a motion to adopt the August 12 agenda. Bryan Cooperrider seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
   
   
3. Call to the Public by Renee Fauset: There were no members of the public in attendance.
   
   
4. Disclosure of Conflicts by Sandra Dihlmann: No additional disclosures or updates of conflicts to report.
   
   
5. Action Item: Approve June 30, 2020 Meeting Minutes by Renee Fauset: Kathy Lampros made a motion to adopt the June 30, 2020 Meeting Minutes. Mark Neumayr seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

• Action Item: Approve July 15, 2020 Meeting Minutes by Renee Fauset: Mark Neumayr made a motion to adopt the July 15, 2020 Meeting Minutes.
  Bryan Cooperrider seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

• Action Item: Approve July 22, 2020 Meeting Minutes by Renee Fauset: Bryan Cooperrider made a motion to adopt the July 22, 2020 Meeting Minutes. Kathy Lampros seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
  
  
• Action Item: Approve School Calendar for 2020-2021 by Renee Fauset: Kathy Lampros made a motion to approve the Mountain School Calendar for 2020-2021 as proposed. Bryan Cooperrider seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

• Action Item: Approve Mountain School Mitigation Plan by Vanessa Fitz-Kesler: Bryan Cooperrider made a motion to adopt the Mountain School Mitigation Plan with the following change: replace “social distancing” with “physical distancing” under section I.
  Jason Aulwes seconded the motion, as amended. The motion passed unanimously.
  
  
• Action Item: Approve Employee Mask Policy by Renee Fauset: Jason Aulwes made a motion to approve the Employee Mask Policy as proposed. Sandra Dihlmann seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

1. Action Item: Approve Student Mask Policy by Renee Fauset: Jason Aulwes made a motion to approve the Student Mask Policy as proposed. Sandra Dihlmann seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
   
   
2. Action Item: Reaffirm Opening date (August 17) according to Arizona State Department of Health Services data point guidelines by Renee Fauset. Kathy Lampros made a motion to approve the school start date of August 17^th in accordance with the Arizona State Department of Health Services data point guidelines. Mark Neumayr seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
   
   
3. Agenda Item: Discuss continuation of employee pay when building is closed to some or all employees by Vanessa Fitz-Kesler. Board members discussed the legalities and possibilities surrounding continuation of pay for teacher’s aides and hourly employees in the event of a school building closure.
   
   
4. Agenda Item: Discuss expectation of employee presence in building during full online learning by Vanessa Fitz-Kesler. The Board supports an employee’s decision to perform duties remotely, if he/she is not comfortable visiting the Mountain School campus due to Covid-19 health concerns.

1. Agenda Item: Distance Learning Plan by Vanessa Fitz-Kesler. Vanessa shared that the Mountain School Distance Learning Plan is on schedule to submit to the state by the prescribed due date, August 14, 2020.

1. Agenda Item: New board member considerations and possibilities by Vanessa Fitz-Kesler. Bryan Cooperrider and Sandra Dihlmann identified two potential Board members. They will reach out to Renee to set up a time to meet in order to address questions before inviting the candidates to a future board meeting.

2. Next Board Meeting Date and Time by Renee Fauset: Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Location Mountain School.
   
   
3. Adjourn by Renee Fauset: The meeting was adjourned at 3:05 p.m..
