Frequently Asked Enrollment Questions for Kindergarten through 5th grade

What is the enrollment process for Kindergarten thru 5th grade?
We do enrollment for Kindergarten-5th grade by lottery. Our lottery period is from September 1st-January 31st for the following school year. You can call 928-779-2392 and ask for our Registrar to get your child’s name on our lottery list. We do the lottery mid-February and will notify families if we have an opening for them once the lottery is completed.

Your child must be 5 by August 31st to be eligible for school that year.

Are there any fees associated with your school?
There is a $150 activity fee requested at the time of enrollment. This fee funds our school’s extracurricular activities.  This fee is tax credit eligible therefore cannot be refunded by the school. You will receive the entire amount back on your annual state tax return.

There is also a fee for Full day Kindergarten, please call the registrar for more information about this.

We offer both a half day and full day kindergarten program. Half day kindergarten is funded entirely by the state. There is a fee for full day kindergarten, please call the registrar for more information about this.

What kind of curriculum do you follow?
Our curriculum is based on the Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards for grades K-5. We choose and create our curriculum with the whole child in mind.  Our goal is to foster an independent spirit and innate love of learning. Childhood is a time of exploration, and we celebrate the important work of making connections from school to the world beyond, learning about ourselves and others, and gaining independence and mastery with meaningful practice.

Can I tour your school?
We have our annual showcase on the last Thursday of January which allows all lottery applicants to tour the school, meet the classroom teachers, hear about our programs and ask questions. Please call our registrar at 928-779-2392 to find out what day in January this is taking place.
