Currently hiring a Front Desk Receptionist/Registrar

Job Description

The job of the Front Desk Receptionist/Registrar will include interacting with parents, vendors, students and staff on a regular basis; the collecting and maintaining of student information; meeting district, state and federal requirements relating to attendance; the enrollment process including parent notification, lottery and open house. Providing general nurse duties; monitoring students referred for illness and sending them home if necessary, disbursing student medication, tracking allergies, and completing the annual state required vaccination reports. General janitorial such as changing paper towels, toilet paper, soap dispensers etc., cleaning up after sick children or any other cleaning duties needed. Collecting and ordering weekly lunch orders. Attending and helping at school wide functions during non school hours. General clerical duties; filing, typing, creating documents, answering phones with business telephone etiquette and responding to inquiries from a variety of individuals. Provides general support for the staff and administrative team at Mountain School. 

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a person who will communicate with the school community and the public in a friendly and welcoming manner at all times, and be an ambassador of Mountain School values and goals. This person needs to be reliable, self motivated, and organized, with the ability to multi-task and patiently handle continual interruptions. Maintaining confidentiality is a must. Skills needed include being attentive to detail, meeting deadlines, schedules and adapting to changing work priorities. Excellent computer skills are required for use in pertinent software applications, including Word, Excel and more. The ability to problem solve, remain flexible and work independently, while still communicating with the direct supervisor when situations arise are crucial. Good math, writing and clerical skills are helpful. The physical demands of the job include heavy lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting for long periods (90%), walking (10%) and standing.  

Job hours, pay and benefits:

This position reports directly to the business manager, Ms. Audra, and  is paid on an hourly basis, starting at $16.00-$18.00 per hour. During the school year it is full-time, operating on the school schedule, 8:00-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday, and part time in the summer during office hours (Tuesday-Thursday, 9-12). Benefits include 24 hours of sick time per year and mandatory enrollment in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
